The August 10 and August 17, 2022 editions of the Miami County (KS) Republic listed the people who've neglected to pay their property taxes.
VERY interesting reading - several local Republican "pillars of the community", members of the so-called 'party of financial responsibility' are listed there - including Kansas' 6th District current "representative" Samantha Poetter Parshall, whom the trusting souls of Miami county elected to "represent" them in the Kansas statehouse 6th District.(!)
Born into wealth, Poetter Parshall never had to learn financial responsibility like us normal working folks, so somehow paying her property taxes must've slipped by her. THIS WOMAN CAN'T MANAGE HER OWN PERSONAL FINANCIAL AFFAIRS, yet she sits on the KS House Committee on Taxation! (when she shows up, that is.)
Miami County taxpayers deserve better than this irresponsible, out-of-touch child of privilege.
Fortunately we have a far better option on the ballot this fall.

Samantha is the daughter of wealthy local businessman Hannes Poetter. Hannes owns several commercial properties in Miami County. Mr. Poetter has supported hyper-partisan republican candidates including Kris Kobach and hosted a meet-and-greet for Sam Brownback in his 'Casa Grande' restaurant on Oct 27, 2014.

Samantha worked for Kobach's office 2014-2018. She was part of Kobach's infamous 'voter fraud' quest that netted a half dozen elderly Republican voters who mistakenly voted the wrong ballots after having not updated their addresses, etc.

• Samantha has this notion that greed and unfettered capitalism is good and that those who don't operate in her economic circles are unworthy, losers and deadbeats. She adamantly opposes Medicaid expansion, even though it would help some 140,000+ Kansans to receive quality medical care and would help keep hospitals open in Kansas farm county. Many rural hospitals permanently closed their doors due in no part to partisan republicans refusal to expand Medicaid. Samantha - How are YOU going to persuade young families to stay on the farm and raise the crops and animals that feed America if they have to drive 3-4 hours for medical appointments?  But since she lives virtually next door to Olathe Health, Shawnee Mission Med, KU Med Center, etc., she shares no concern about the medical needs of families in rural Kansas - and it shows in her votes. 
• "No-Show" Poetter voted only 23% of the time in the (2022) legislative session. She'll excuse her absences by saying she was  pregnant. True, but EVERY DAY thousands of Kansas women have to deal with work AND childcare AND pregnancy and DON'T GET TO SKIP WORK WHENEVER THEY PLEASE. 
•  Samantha dares not debate her opponent on policy issues because she has no legitimate policy objectives.  She is a full-on conspiracy theorist, working to defund local, county and state government to the point where it can be 'flushed down the drain' as coined by Grover Norquist. This is exactly the perspective held by her republican party ownership, including the obscenely wealthy Koch family. Samantha hopes that the hate and vitriol fomented by the republican party will carry her and her fellow extremist saboteurs to re-election.

• Poetter Parshall sits on the House Committee on Federal and State Affairs where she crafted HCR5003 - the Kansas constitutional amendment to ban abortion and to not allow women to make their own medical decisions. Her position on this issue is out of touch with the 59% of Kansans who voted against her proposed amendment
• Poetter Parshall adamantly opposes Medicare expansion which would help so many suffering Kansans. • Samantha never publishes her achievements for Kansas voters because SHE HAS NONE. ZERO. ZILCH. NADA. (Don't take our word for it, check her non-existent media releases and her FB page.)
•  Samantha was raised in a wealthy home and wanted for nothing her entire life. Even though she attended USD368 it was clear that she was out of her element, forced to mingle with the commoners. Upon high school graduation she got a degree in political science and went to work for a rabid racist and all-around hateful lunatic Kris Kobach. Kobach was rebuffed by the Kansas Supreme court for his frivolous lawsuits that cost Kansas taxpayers MILLIONS. The judges also remanded Poetter's mentor to remedial education, since he clearly has no knowledge of courtroom procedures nor precedent.  
• Samantha's positions appeal to white nationalists and other groups who consider others lesser than themselves.  Her positions on issues are almost identical to those of ex-governor Sam Brownback (who resigned in disgrace after his fellow republicans refused to raise taxes on the poor) and Marjorie Taylor Greene. Poetter is one of the most extreme anti-choice, anti-public education, climate change denying legislators in Kansas. She opposes common-sense wind and solar renewable energy legislation and still wants a total ban on reproductive decisions with NO exceptions. These are only a few of her extreme positions.

Poetter Parshall detests public education, she is a strident supporter of vouchers, aka "school choice". Vouchers steal funds from YOUR local public schools to give to unaccredited private schools. And now she sits on the USD368 school board. Having the fox guarding the henhouse is never a good thing!
